Acceldata is creating an end-to-end data observability platform to free data engineers to do what they do best: build. We see unreliable data and data platforms as the biggest, gnarliest barrier to fulfilling the promise of machine learning and AI--and we’re out to help the data world get unstuck.
Founded by open source veterans, trusted by some of the world’s largest companies, and backed by $45M in capital, we’re a lean, hungry, and fast-moving team of engineers, product people, and customer champions all across the world.
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to join us in our mission to make data dependable.
About the role
We’re a product-led company started by technical founders. At Acceldata, product managers improve the pace and quality of decision-making, pairing an open-minded eagerness to hear every idea with a ruthless, no-excuses emphasis on delivering winning solutions. Product managers take the responsibility entrusted in them seriously as they marshall the resources of the entire organization to the critical points that win or lose our customers’ loyalty.
As an early Senior Product Manager, reporting to the Head of Product, you will own a significant part of our product portfolio, setting up our customers for unprecedented success in their data initiatives. You’ll identify and seize the opportunities for Acceldata to lead the next generation of data platforms.
Master user needs and use cases around data pipelines, data processing, and machine learning.
Partner with engineering, data science, customer success, product design--basically everyone--through planning, development, and launch to deliver high-impact capabilities. Follow through on delivered capabilities to identify impact and improvements.
Devise, define, and communicate a product strategy for accelerating and modernizing our customers’ most critical data pipelines.
Educate and evangelize around new product capabilities to our worldwide go-to-market team and customer base.
Insist on the highest standards, proactively sounding the alarm to ensure everything our customers touch is of the highest quality.
You’ve worked hands-on with databases, data processing platforms (e.g. Spark/Kafka), ETL / ELT tools, and/or machine learning platforms.
You have shipped impressive products with cross-functional teams, in a B2B and/or data-intensive domain. You’ve worked on a single product long enough, with enough responsibility, to see the effects of your choices. So you know what you’d do better next time.
You have excellent communication skills--you can clearly and concisely convey what you need to convey. Even if the topic is complex, you tailor the discussion to the person you’re talking to so you get to the point.
You’re creative, persistent, and determined to make an impact in fast-growing startup. You understand that shipping innovative products isn’t easy.
