We’re looking for a Head of Pricing Strategy to join us in our mission to make data dependable.

About the role

As a product-led company, we aim to align our commercial success with our users’ success.   We seek to increase the value our customers see even faster than we increase our own revenue.  Given the risks of under-, over-, or mis-pricing, we see our pricing strategist as a key player in our platform’s continual evolution, a leader who needs to be as creative, driven, and detail-oriented as our strongest engineers, designers, and data scientists.

Reporting to our Head of Product, the Head of Pricing Strategy will guide Acceldata and our customers through the journey from today’s fractured sets of tools to simple, predictable, and efficient data initiatives.


  • Set our long term pricing vision, develop a framework to evaluate ongoing success, and drive course corrections as needed.

  • Model the financial and business impact of pricing options.

  • Design and execute quantitative pricing, sales team and customer research, including win/loss analysis, sales team pricing and discounting behavior and competitive price-performance analysis.

  • Drive alignment (product, marketing, sales, finance) on pricing strategy and tactics.

  • Develop regular meetings / conversations with customers to get pricing feedback.

  • Defining pricing plans for new SKUs or services Acceldata develops.

Skills and Traits

  • 4+ years of experience in market research, pricing, business operations, or consulting, ideally in the enterprise software sector.

  • Experience working with SQL, relational data, and common BI tools.   Advanced statistical or data science experience a strong bonus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills; comfortable presenting in executive-level settings

  • Ability to think strategically across long time frames

  • Entrepreneurial, "can do" attitude; ability and willingness to make an impact in a startup organization.
